Welcome to Louisiana Swim School! Our instructors offer swim lessons to babies-starting at 6 months of age- through adult swim lessons. All lessons are one on one with an instructor and are given in a heated, indoor swimming pool. Owner Kimberly Dawsey has been teaching swimming lessons for over 25 years and specializing in infant survival swimming for over 17 years.

Our program for infants and small children– 6 months old up to approximately 3 to 4 years old– are a specialized type.

Lessons are:

10 minutes a day, 4 days per week
(Monday-Thursday), and will last anywhere from 4-6 weeks depending on age and/or experience level of the child. Lessons are $125 per week with a one time registration fee of $100.

We also provide traditional swim lessons for children 4 years old and older as well as adult lessons. “ Again, all lessons are one on one”.

Our traditional lessons are 30 minutes a day, 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday) for approximately 2-4 weeks, de- pending on the age and experience of the swimmer. These lessons are $250 per week.

Q. What do I bring?
Swim Diaper (disposable or reuseable- if not fully potty trained), swim suit, and towel. Goggles if preferred.

Q. Can I stay during lessons?
Absolutely! Parents are encouraged to stay and watch the lessons and encourage your child when appropriate.
Q. Are there changing rooms?
We do have a bathroom on site for use.
Q. What about eating and drinking before lessons?
Your child should not eat anything for at least 1 hour before lessons. They also Should not have anything to drink at least 30 minutes before lessons. If a drink Is needed please keep it to small amounts and clear liquids only. If eating is Required less than an hour before lessons please discuss with your instructor.
